Manually Readying the Telescope

To manually open the telescope (instead of using the openatsunset script) follow this procedure.

Safety

1. Acquire resources via the checkbox.
2. Clear the software e-stop.
3. Reset the e-stop state.
4. Unacquire resources.

Vent Doors

1. Acquire resources via the checkbox.
2. Click open, wait for all three to say Open
3. Unacquire resources. Dead man timer now running

Cooling Systems

1. Acquire resources via the checkbox.
2. Turn off fans on levels 2 and 3.
3. Unacquire resources.

General Systems

1. Acquire resources via the checkbox.
2. Disable fans 1 and 2.
3. Unacquire resources.

Azimuth

1. Acquire resources via the checkbox.
2. Enable drive.
3. Confirm that telescope is enabled and drive enable, both turn green.
4. Unacquire resources.

Open the dome

1. Acquire resources via the checkbox.
2. Select preferred angles. Move the Front shutter to a smaller value, the rear to a larger value.
3. Unacquire resources.

Open the Mirror Covers

On the telescope control GUI, select the open button in the lower right corner.

You can now move the telescope.
